Lots of things to do and see
We’re passionate about organic food and farming and always keen to share what we’re learning. Whitmuir is a Soil Association open farm so we positively encourage visitors to walk up through the farm to enjoy the spectacular views and changing seasons.

We hope you’ll enjoy our new green building too. We’ve used low carbon concrete, local larch and sheeps wool insulation to make it climate-friendly, while photovoltaic panels, wind turbine and ground source heat pump combine to make the whole project carbon-positive. Sounds worthy, looks beautiful.
Every Saturday at 12.00 there is a guided walk where you can see the pigs being pigs and hear tomorrow’s vegetables growing (hopefully in different places). This is a good opportunity to learn more about how the farm works and ask questions. A guided walk for your group can be organised by arrangement.
Please contact us to arrange your visit.
We enjoy hosting visits from schools, agricultural students and community groups and are happy to come and talk to your group about local and organic food.
For keen walkers, there is a route through the farm and Grassfield Forest over to Eddleston and Peebles.
As we are a fully organic working farm with livestock (cows, sheep, pigs, hens and turkeys) any visiting dogs must be kept on the main path on short leads and they must be regularly wormed (within 3 months of visit).
